Hot off the Press

26/10/2010

Nina Raine’s debut Rabbit won her the Promising Playwright Award at the 2006 Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards.  Her follow-up TRIBES has been generally well-received apart from stirring the wrath of Quentin Letts in the Daily Mail.  Penny in the swear-box, please:

It could be a commercial hit, worthy of transfer to the West End, maybe even the small screen, but for one problem: her adolescent, demeaning, depressing, self-defeating glee in foul language.

Read more reviews for TRIBES by Nina Raine (daughter of Craig) at the Jerwood Theatre, Royal Court.
