With a title like EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE, how can you resist?

Siobhan Synnot in Scotland on Sunday:  “Extremely self-important and Incredibly tiresome.

Kate Muir in The Times: “Extremely Irritating and Incredibly Schmaltzy”

Angie Errigo in Empire Magazine: “Extremely long and Incredibly disappointing”

Peter Bradshaw in The Guardian: “Extremely contrived and Incredibly preposterous”

Anthony Quinn in The Independent: “Extremely long and in need of a good slap”

And Robbie Collin in The Telegraph sums the whole thing up:

You rather end up wishing Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close would just pipe down and back off.
