Patrick Ness scoops historic double
Patrick Ness’s novel A Monster Calls has won both the Carnegie Medal and its sister prize for illustration for the first time in the awards’ history. If that weren’t enough, his Monsters of Men also won last year’s prize. Frank Cottrell Boyce in the Guardian called it:
